Excited in 2026
Stoked about the following upcoming releases in 2026. First 5 are albums I know are coming out - whereas, the next three (6-12) are anticipated. Would also love to see new albums from Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Mastodon, as well. |
| 1 | | Karnivool In Verses
Was a big fan of Themata and Sound Awake - hoping they can recreate some of the prior alt metal magic from these albums. |
| 2 | | Soen Reliance
Excited to see where they go after two more commercial albums (Imperial, Memorial) - and whether they return back to their earlier, rawer sounds. |
| 3 | | Rob Zombie The Great Satan
Nice to have both Riggs and Blasko back - like a true Hellbilly Deluxe/The Sinister Urge reunion. Dig some John 5 - but want to hear Rob Zombie slam like its 2000! |
| 4 | | Poppy Empty Hands
Really like where Poppy and Jordan Fish have been going. |
| 5 | | Megadeth Megadeth
Haven't loved the songs I've heard so far - but can't wait to hear "Ride the Lightning" done Megadeth style |
| 6 | | Slipknot All Hope Is Gone
I believe that Clown may hold up to his word - and Look Outside Your Window may actually come out in 2026. Not going to lose sleep waiting - but really hoping so! |
| 7 | | Tony Iommi Iommi
Another solo album from Tony Iommi is cause to celebrate. And here's to hoping that the reported Swedish singer is actually his wife Maria Sjöholm (former lead vocalist of Drain STH). One of my fav grunge/nu metal bands from the late 1990's. |
| 8 | | Evanescence Lost Whispers
Amy Lee has hinted a new album in 2026 - excited about this. |
| 9 | | Down Down III: Over the Under
Can honestly say that Down used to be one of my favorite bands, up there with Tool. But after Down III, they lost key members - and their output was subpar. Hoping for a return to form (personally, my favorite is Down II). |
| 10 | | Corrosion of Conformity In the Arms of God
...Not sure how Pepper Keenan is doing two new albums with both Down and COC in one year - and potentially even a double album - but bring it! |
| 11 | | The Agonist Lullabies For The Dormant Mind
Excited for Alissa White-Gluz solo album - The Room Where She Died is exactly what I was hoping to hear from her. A strong mix of all her vocal stylings. Hoping this comes out in 2026! |
| 12 | | Bad Omens The Death of Peace of Mind
It will be hard to top The Death of Peace of Mind - really loved this album. |
