12.11.25 | This one is a much more sorrowful, atmospheric cut from the album. Definitely had Hvis in mind with this, but it’s not overly repetitive. Still a lot of variety and good pacing (i think). There’s even a guitar solo in there, which is very rare for my stuff.
This song’s inspiration came from falling out with my best friend of nearly 10 years. We were as close as brothers, and were like minded creatively, and had started a promising black metal project which has never seen the light of day, due to my lack of focus and determination. We just kind of stopped talking, and i eventually noticed he had blocked me on everything. i regret not taking that connection more seriously, because i believe pursuing that friendship and creative outlet would’ve been much more fulfilling and meaningful than the opportunities i have now.
But i will also not spend my life wallowing over it, I’ll just dedicate this song to it and let it lie. |

12.11.25 | 9 is such an interesting album. It’s one of the least aggressive, most beautiful BM albums i’ve heard, and damn near no one knows about it |

12.11.25 | Opening track has the catchiest keyboard lead |

12.11.25 | i jammed thru it its interesting and reminds of the chiller bm like early borgir and gehenna but the mix is almost painful to listen to on my cans |

12.11.25 | Yeah it’s an odd one, i don’t mind it though. There’s a non-BM version of the album that sounds a lot better mixing wise. It’s streamable on bandcamp, but can’t be purchased which is a bummer. |

12.12.25 | killer cover art, i would wear that on a shirt
intro reminds me of late Burzum dungeon synth, namely The Ways of Yore with it's tribal stuff. the rest is pretty bombastic but not too much. i like the last track a lot more, feels a lot more brooding. it feels a little short at 3 minutes when it suddenly cuts out, feels like it could have builded up into something. pretty solid stuff, bud |

12.12.25 | I appreciate the feedback, and I think I agree. I could’ve had it go into how the original demo ended, with distorted guitar coming in.
The original 2018 demo version of the last track has a different feel, especially to the end I think. I’m considering re-recording this version for the album, but I don’t want to overload the tracklist which is already pushing an hour.
This is the demo version if you’re interested in the BM version |
