to be fair it takes a very high IQ to understand Sleep Token's newest opus: Even in Arcadia. metal elitists will be turned off by its proggy, off the wall sound. r&b fuses with djenticore breakdowns that only few will understand, and only the enlightened will understand the genius within. easily album of the year, and nothing will ever come close. the entirety of music will have to catch up to Sleep Token, not vice versa.
@Brickhed, there are albums that I listen to aloud. And then there are albums I want to hear on my headphones - to hear each nuance and intricacy. Even in Arcadia is one of the latter.
@ arthropod, should be. @Hawks, yeah - it’s my top pick for AOTY at this time. Album ebbs and flows, and takes one on an aural and emotional roller coaster - and has the best production and tone I have heard all year.
