I think it would make more sense to distinguish this by country or city. UK and Swedish death metal are pretty different and distinct from one another and I barely know that much on European metal in general. I do this with hardcore as NY and Boston have pretty established sounds of their own for example.

Tundra 07.31.25	I don't like a lot of pure metalcore. I often find a lot of it very monotonous. Grayhaven have great clean vocals along with the heaviness as well which I like a lot about it. The only differentiating factor to pure dm is the visual aesthetic. Production is always the same, the riffs are always the same recycled redundancies ad nauseam. I like the Frozen Soul album art and think it looks awesome. It literally helps me enjoy the album more.

Every Piece Matters: only slightly in the outro, fair enough Pastures: every distorted guitar riff is djentish, the middle section of the song is ONE OF THE GREATEST DJENT PASSAGES OF ALL TIME. Post-djent perfection. Obviously tesseract inspired but more uplifting (cough luminous djent) Cascade: THE ENTIRE FUCKING SONG.
