07.30.25 | that’s wild I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone that likes STST most. Middle of the pack for me, certainly better than the self titled and Hail to the King, probably just that tho, I don’t think I’d put it up there with City of Evil, Nightmare, The Stage, LIBAD, def not Waking the Fallen.
It’s still got some killer tracks tho, Turn the Other Way is legit one of my favorite songs from them, Darkness Surrounding, We Come Out at Night, Epic of Time Wasted, Subconscious Illusion, and Shattered By Broken Dreams are all great tracks too |

07.30.25 | Yeah I just can’t go that far with it. Warmness on the Soul is fucking terrible, Streets is pretty bad too, and most of the other tracks I didn’t mention are generally kinda in one ear out the other for me. Waking the Fallen just feels like an upgrade in pretty much every way.
Agreed for the most part on the vocals. They’re not Matt’s best but he was a fuckin kid and for the most part he sounds pretty good. Screamed vocals are great, his cleans are kinda sloppy but even then you could tell the guy knew how to write catchy melodies.
Really good album that definitely doesn’t get its due in the fanbase. |
