07.02.25 | i've been slacking this year with new stuff, but so far my highlights have been:
Deserted Fear - Veins of Fire
Scalpture - Landkrieg (solid osdm that leans into melodeath periodically, probably my fave discovery this year so far)
Ondfodt - Dimsvall (pagan/meloblack. the ratings here are low but I think you'd get more out of it than the other sputters)
Avantasia - Here Be Dragons
Destinity - Ascension (need to give it some more spins, also need to add it to the database)
Buried Realm - The Dormant Darkness (not as good as their last but loveeee all the Alvestam features, feels like an old school Scar Symmetry album tbh)
Fragments of Unbecoming - Dawnbringer
Walg - V (my fave of his so far I think, him dropping 1 album a year for the last 5 years is so sick)
I Am Your God - △ (band name is so corny but theyre a fun listen, nothin spectacular)
Thus Spoke Zarathustra - I’m Done With Self Care
thats kinda what i'm rockin with atm, nothing has really stood out as particularly exceptional save for that Havukruunu album. we'll see what the second half of the year has in store
