Fucking God damn this took for fucking ever to finish. Scouring everywhere looking for obscure entries in this series that aren't even that good. Took me forever to complete this list.
The only entry I haven't been able to see was the 1999 Spiral TV Series in Japan. I tried to find it but I couldn't, and frankly, I don't feel like seeing it. I am ring'd out and I don't want to see another entry in this fucking series for a long ass time. |

The cinematography and atmosphere in that movie is gorgeous. |

06.26.25 | Lol so I'm not the only psychopath that's seen the original made for tv ringu. Rings is the only one I think is outright trash, rest are pretty schlock. Really just couldn't follow up that first movie in a way that matched its tone, all the sequels are pretty batshit (cept 0 that's a pretty straightforward carrie-esque bullied formula)
Have you seen the Korean vers? Might be ring virus I forget what it's translated title was, waaaas OK but the weakest of the 4 versions of ring
Also the part in american ring2 when they get attacked by deer is fucking hysterical |

06.26.25 | Sadako crashing a plane in the first 3 minutes tho, I didn't hate it but felt like a generic pg13 horror movie in the vein of like 'cry wolf' but like ten years late. Didn't even know it existed until like 2021, and I was one of the imdb posters on its page in like 2009 ranting with others about how a vhs tape wouldn't apply to 'modern times.' Idk I just remember more from all the other ridiculous sadako 3d spinoff stuff, which is arguably worse productionwide buuut yeah idk something about rings doesn't work for me |
