Favorite/Notable Modern DM Pt. 2

I'm back with more awesome death metal spanning different subgenres and styles that I've been into over the past few years. This time, I'm expanding a bit more as far as release date goes, but I'd still call all of these releases "modern". Hope you find some new favorites here! As always, feel free to comment with any recommendations.
1Light Dweller
The Subjugate

Strange, wonky DM. Has a lot of that "melodic dissonance" that Artificial Brain is known for.
2Astriferous
Pulsations from the Black Orb

Ripping OSDM with some impressive drumming and a very atmospheric, yet heavy sound.
3Hemotoxin
When Time Becomes Loss

Sort of a blend of death, thrash and a bit of old-school prog tendencies. One of my favorites in recent history for sure.
4Anal Stabwound
Reality Drips Into the Mouth of Indifference

Chaotic and brutal as hell. Has some of that jazzy Wormed/Defeated Sanity drumming thrown in for good measure.
5Defect Designer
Chitin

Old-school sound with a technical edge.
6Scorched (USA-DE)
Ecliptic Butchery

Badass brutality with some really cool horror/synth parts.
7Baring Teeth
The Path Narrows

Probably my favorite release of theirs, narrowly edging out their debut album. Brings the skronkz.
8Vaelmyst
Secrypts of the Egochasm

Cool melodeath with really fun leads and riffs.
9Exordium Mors
As Legends Fade and Gods Die

Fast-paced, chaotic and frantic with a ton of awesome riffs and drumming.
10Zustand Null
Beyond the Limit of Sanity

Pushes the boundaries into more blackened territory, but there is more than enough death metal influence to warrant its inclusion here.
11Malignant Altar
Realms of Exquisite Morbidity

Probably one of the more "popular" released on this list, but for good reason. Rips and bludgeons the listener.
12Deiphago
I, The Devil

Chaotic drumming and a blackened edge, really nasty stuff.
13Resurgency
No Worlds... Nor Gods Beyond

Would love to hear another album from this group, some great solos and general playing here.
14Logic of Denial
Aftermath

Brutal/technical DM that is likely to knock your socks off.
15Altars (AUS)
Ascetic Reflection

Atmospheric and almost "creepy" with plenty of standout moments.
16Organectomy
Existential Disconnect

Slammy and brutal for when you want to turn something heavy up to 11 in the car.
17Ulthar
Anthronomicon

Another band that got some hype around here, wild stuff with a lot of momentum.
18Burial Invocation
Abiogenesis

Long songs with a bit of death/doom amidst the ripping riffs and solos.
19Castrensis
Hierarchies

Fast-paced and brutal. A bit older (2015), and quite short but still holds up today.
20Scordatura
Mass Failure

Easily their best album, I hadn't listened to their debut in years and was delighted to randomly stumble upon them again.
21Gigan
Anomalous Abstractigate Infinitessimus

Gigan never failures to warp my brain.
22Ascended Dead
Abhorrent Manifestation

Grindy and brutal with blast beats galore. Am I the only one who loved their latest album but thinks the production is absolutely weird?
23Wormhole
Almost Human

A bit more atmospheric and mature than their earlier albums, but this still brings the heavy in a big way.
24Venenum
Trance of Death

I really want to hear more from this band, this is an impressive slab of innovative OSDM.
25Pestifer
Expanding Oblivion

Really cool techy death metal manages to sound new and old-school at the same time.
26Bufihimat
I

Chaotic death/grind with pretty unique riffing compared to other bands of this ilk.
27Gorephilia
In The Eye Of Nothing

Solid old-school inspired death metal that moves at a quick pace.
28Profanity
Fragments of Solace

Brutal/technical DM with a lot of sweeps and start/stop riffing. Great if you tend to think bands stretch out one riff too much.
29Horror Chamber
Thoughts: The Slow Decay

Really damn good with some great drumming and great songwriting.
30Dawn of Azazel
The Tides of Damocles

another "older" release (2015), but man this is some fantastic, ripping stuff.
31Breeding Filth
Perverse Devolution

I'm surprised I had to add this to the database! I believe this has some members from Dawn of Dementia, but this leans much more heavily into an old-school/brutal sound.
32Chaotian
Effigies of Obsolescence

Nasty, cavernous OSDM that keeps things moving forward so even the longer tracks don't get stale.
33Pandemic Outbreak
Skulls Beneath the Cross

Ripping death metal reminiscent of Angelcorpse and the like.
34Molested Divinity
The Primordial

One of my favorite brutal/technical DM albums of the past few years.
35Nothingness
Supraliminal

Some insane old-school inspired riffing with some slower, doomier moments as well as plenty of headbangable ones.
36Chaos Motion
Psychological Spasms Cacophony

Some sort of weird, abstract, dissonant techdeath. Forget anything you thought you knew regarding "song structures" or "riffs".
37Huronian
As Cold as a Stranger Sunset

I keep coming back to this album because it really combines the best parts of melodeath and that classic, almost thrashy sound.
38Ritual Necromancy
Disinterred Horror

Very cool cavernous death metal with mainly longer tracks.
39Apep
The Invocation of the Deathless One

Technical, Egyptian-themed death metal that doesn't really sound like Nile, but sounds awesome regardless.
40Beneath (IS)
Ephemeris

Definitely my favorite album from this group. Brutal, technical, and interesting throughout.
41Goratory
Sour Grapes

Goofy album name and album art, but it kicks ass and takes grapes.
42Vitriol (USA)
Suffer & Become

Some of the craziest riffs I've heard in a long time, this is a wild ride.
43Soreption
Jord

Their best release, in my opinion. Groovy and technical, with really awesome cover art.
44Nithing
Agonal Hymns

Weird, brutal DM with almost impossibly quick blasts.
