Pain Of Mind

Yeah, maybe this just isn't my style but I don't really fuck with this at all. Perhaps if it was a different band I'd be more open to it, but 2-3 songs in I'm begging to throw on another Neurosis album.

Fires Within Fires

This is where things start to get "meh" for me. The rest of this list is straight up fire (pun intended) but these last 3 don't really have much to offer. It's not bad, it just exists.
8Neurosis
The Word As Law

Hey man, this thing is a banger. If it wasn't from Neurosis, it may be at the top of the list for a normal band.
7Neurosis
Given To The Rising

This is like an 8.5/10, which is insane because it's #8. To The Wind and Water Is Not Enough are such powerful highlights, it's unfair how good this band is.
6Neurosis
A Sun That Never Sets

This was my favorite Neurosis album for like 7 or 8 years, but after jamming their discog recently I realized that's mostly because of The Tide and Stones In The Sky (which is still one of my favorites in their discog). Nothing wrong with this album at all, it's still amazing and in the same level of quality as the top 5, I just prefer the others.
5Neurosis
Souls At Zero

Tied with Enemy of the Sun, every song rules and I can't choose between them.
4Neurosis
Enemy Of The Sun

Almost as scary as Through Silver In Blood - tied with Souls at Zero, but you can't have two albums take up the same spot on Sputnik.
3Neurosis
The Eye Of Every Storm

This one took me the longest to get into. In fact, I found this album straight up boring for most of my life until I just re-jammed this recently. Now that I am wise, with grey in my beard, I realize the error of my youth. The atmosphere on this thing is thicker than nearly anything I have ever heard. Unreasonably good.

Through Silver In Blood

Neurosis is my second favorite band of all time (just recently beating out Death for that spot), and this is my second favorite album of all time. If anything exists out there that is as terrifying, or as punishing while having this level of artistic integrity than I don't know what it is.
