04.20.25 | Thanks! Yeah the 2018-2021 picks were not necessarily well established, maybe some recency bias with the 2019 and 2021 ones as those are ones I discovered in the last couple years. 2021 my true favorite release is probably Ethel Cain - Inbred but that’s technically an EP. |

Ars I’ve heard the new FOBH EP, it’s pretty good but didn’t vibe with it as much as the LP.
Doof, 2021 was a bit of a rough and busy year for me so I was a bit off on music, it was hard to pick a major favorite from that year but that album had a big impact on my ambient taste and I’ve had some pretty transcendent/transportive listens, it’s pretty much the bar against which I measure all other “ambient Americana” stuff at this point. |

04.21.25 | Yeah agreed, I was a bit surprised that Honey Harper was my favorite from 2020 but looking back I think that’s the most essential album from the year and probably gets a boost from being linked to that surreal early COVID moment. Empty Country was a strong contender too though |
