Hyperion1001 04.16.25	the original is the closest to being a real movie but as far as the best of the formula, final chapter is a pretty clear #1 i always have a soft spot for 2 thought cause sackhead Jason rocks and Amy steel is the best final girl in the franchise.

Aerisavion 04.17.25	"I didn't even know there was a novelisation" There are technically five, if you count the actual novelisation and the sequels/secondary instalments: Jason X Jason X: The Experiment Jason X: Planet of the Beast Jason X: Death Moon Jason X: To the Third Power If you ever see a cheap Jason X novel written by Pat Cadigan, Nancy Kilpatrick or Alex Johnson, buy it. They're super rare and cost a fortune (easily more than $100 per book via most sellers).

BAT 04.18.25	jason x is a banger idgaf. but yeah part 4 is my tops, than 3/2. really watch them every 13th but the main ones that rarely make my rotation are jason goes to hell and part 7. wish they'd do a proper restoration of 7 buuut as is the final cut feels like it's edited for tv, some great atmosphere/camerawork though new beginning&manhattan are lotta fun but slapped together coked out nonsense lol

combustion07 06.21.25	I love cheesy shit and Manhattan was the first Friday movie I got to see. My mom let me rent it and noes3 from Hyvee back when they had the little video rental section. They had a weird selection and never had the first in the series so I had a weird introduction to a lot of horror franchises. The scene where the dude tries to box Jason on the roof and gets his head knocked off had me crying from laughter lol. Nostalgia> definitely not a good movie but it brings the joy

Futures 06.21.25	manhattan is the only one i get like nothing out of lol. the ending is so hilarious. i'd prob go lives, final chapter, 2, og, fvj, x, remake, hell, 3, new beginning, new blood, manhattan just infinitely watchable movies. gotta be the highest kill ratio of all of them. a little wackiness too in a few which i appreciate. the quintessential slasher franchise for me.
combustion07 06.21.25	In terms of franchises I think it’s probably my favorite too. I even like New Beginning even though I have it on the bottom. Favorite slasher overall is probably Stagefright. Love the vibe and kills in that one.
Futures 06.21.25	new beginning has a shit ton of kills to make up for the quality at least lol. stagefright looks sweet. i gotta do a deep dive into 80s slashers beyond the franchise and obvious sometime.
