I think Liar Liar should have more recognition than it gets, I watched it recently for the first time in a decade and found it surprisingly touching. The Toy Story and Shrek films also gotta be up there.

The levels of irony are immense and there's a ton of banger lines. I'm generally disappointed with the current state of comedy in my state. The recent films are either dumb or boring, or both. As for the foreign productions, my favourites are "Drunken Master", "Police Academy" and "Groundhog Day".

The comedic and friendly chemistry between Steve Martin and John Candy is unmatched. Also I'll bump foxblood because that entire series of movies with Best In Show and Waiting For Guffman are hysterical. Christopher Guest is also a goddamn comedy genius.
