De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas

03.27.25 | DMDS has a lot of really great stuff on it. There are just a handful of songs i don’t care about. Freezing Moon, aside from the intro riff and the funeral-ass slow part is kind of mid tbh. I used to think it was peak, but i find myself not very into it anymore. Same with Cursed In Eternity and From The Dark Past. Kinda eh about those. Title track, Life Eternal and Funeral Fog are all timers, i just think overall it’s an okay album.
It deserves its status, but in the scope of the band’s discography and other classic BM albums, it’s just not that exciting to me. Pick any Darkthrone or Emperor album and i’d probably prefer those over this | Brabiz

I love DMDS but true tbh (well, any of their classics anyway)
Edit: jamming it again and it’s actually really tasty, I think it would edge out a few DT and Emperor albums for me. Overall I prefer DT and Emperor as bands, but DMDS is a super solid release. | combustion07
