Songs From Suicide Bridge

Folk / singer-songwriter

I’ve been using Sput for over a decade now. Stumbled upon the site while looking for reviews of Muse’s ‘Absolution’, then my favourite album, and it’s been my go-to for music discussion ever since.
48Sunhouse
Crazy on the Weekend

Indie rock / indie folk

Sput has massively impacted my taste. I mean, when I first made an account I think I had about 75 ratings or something. You guys have graced my ears with so many amazing albums, varying from well-known indie classics to, uh, more underground indie classics (I’ve broadened my musical horizons a bit, but ultimately my brain just really likes it when sad indie men go sad – as evidenced by this list). And even when I find music through other ways, I always enjoy reading about it here.

Where Shall You Take Me?

Americana / indie folk

This site definitely means more to me than my presence would suggest. I guess I’m a lurker at heart; I just prefer reading other people’s thoughts over providing my own. (Also: I still feel weird posting stuff on the internet. It’s as if I’m shouting out of my window, hoping anyone listens and cares – and I live on a 20th floor). That being said, I do enjoy contributing my tiny bits of content, and I hope they are somehow valuable to anyone engaging with this strange corner of the internet.

I know this site has its issues. I would genuinely be sad if the site dies, so I hope it can go on as long as possible!
