oisincoleman64 01.27.25	Well first off you're gonna wanna make sure the music is good, an easy solution to this is to take songs that are already good and remake them. People don't want to hear the same old songs again though so you're gonna wanna add a dance beat or some hip hop flavour. Once you have the music, now it's time to market. The easiest way to make sure people know about your music is to invest in a big billboard on the side of a highway. this is an easy investment but little opportunity to lose. Once the name is known do not create a any social media presence as we want to create a mystique around the artist like Frank Ocean and Kanye, over explaining things will just ruin your marketability. Upload your music to bandcamp only as this is where people actually spendy money, you're probably thinking "most people I know use Spotify" but this is why you need to post a link to your Instagram so everyone gos to the bandcamp page.

brickhed 01.27.25	from what I've gathered its from knowing the right people, playing live, having friends, and practicing to the point of madness. Personally I've practiced the songs on my demo so much that I've biased myself into thinking it sucks, which is why I'm starting to send some of the unmixed tracks to my friends. I'm also trying to get connections established with the new theater owners in town who want to make live music more accessible. You gotta work hard at the end of the day.
