| Mix CD - Holiday Mix 2004
This Mix CD was given to me by a good friend JB. JB and I both were into horror movies (e.g., Vampire films) and music. She, like me, was into industrial. But whereas I gravitated towards heavy industrial metal, she really liked bands with a lighter or more danceable industrial touch - and a gothic feel. Pretty sweet mix she prepared for me in December 2004. At the time, I was already a fan of The Cure and Depeche Mode; but I became a Gary Numan fan as his output became darker and heavier post Exile. | | 1 | | Claude Chalhoub Claude Chalhoub

01.25.25 | Man, bunch of obscure, old-school stuff on here I should be familiar with but have never heard of. I mean, a David Bowie record with a touch of NIN? And I didn't realize Die Form went so far back to the beginning of the scene; 1984 is a surprise. I've always thought of them as part of 21st century explosion of Gotho-Industrial festivals in Europe. Great list, capped perfectly with Johnny Cash, who was a genius | veninblazer
01.25.25 | Bowie worked with Reznor?? Wow, that's cool | gabba
01.25.25 | Yeah, check the video of the track, it’s a nice one! I also made a mixtape back in the day with 2 on it, love that song so much. This is a great mix cd, kudos to JB! |
