Sharenge 08.01.24	I guess on the bright side, now that I've done it once, if and when I have to go back in there and address this again, I'll know exactly what I'm in for and what to expect... just wish I could come up with a more permanent solution as opposed to my ghetto homemade temp. solution... don't really want to be repeatedly opening my receiver up for surgery if I don't have to since it kind of just opens doors for more things to go wrong or get messed up not sure it's gonna yield much result but guess I should try googling it... feel like I'll most likely just be directed to find an expert/professional to service or repair it, and off the top of my head I don't know of anyone nearby who works on vintage stereo receivers and if I do find anybody well for starters I'm sure they'll be charging a shit load of money I don't have

Sharenge 08.01.24	thanks actually just found a nice video of someone working on the STR-7055 with basically the same exact issue as well, so that may prove useful - linking for future reference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhdnF2R2TRk going in solely from the top made things particularly more difficult and limiting, so next time I go in, guess I'll try at least one further disassembly step and remove the bottom panel as well like this guy did... maybe the face too... really don't wanna have to remove the face but I guess it's an option if necessary lol as for my Playstation, probs will hook it back up and boot it before I hit the hay here in the next few hours just to make sure it's all good... should be fine but I gotta know
Sharenge 08.01.24	was a little more hype about the EP †††s dropped like a year back or however long it's been now than I was for Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete. but then again I jammed that one a lot and this one only a couple of times thus far not enough to judge yet (lol okay I guess it was like two years ago and Goodnight been out going on a year now jfc that time do be flyin')
Sharenge 08.02.24	never used the stuff before, but sounds like an epoxy might be my best bet for trying to glue the plastic back together in a manner that is actually going to last and be able to hold up and withstand the little bit of force/pressure that gets applied when the power switch is toggled
