I actually have an interview on Wednesday at the shop I went to yesterday, so if they aren’t sure whether to hire me next week I’m just gonna bring my receipt lmao
I’ve got a little home workout routine going, nothing major but enough to get me fit and large. I’m built to be short but broad, just haven’t bothered to tone up in a long time.
I’m so stoked at the prospect of working for one of my favorite record shops, or a record shop in general. I’m a person who worships at the altar of High Fidelity.
Just had the first practice with (hopefully) my new band, and another on Wednesday go figure. We’re covering “Crystal Mountain” and I could not be more excited to perform THAT live.
Have been eating better and all the stress-induced sickness I’ve been suffering for the past 3 years is basically gone. And I mean I would get sick as a dog for weeks at a time, and was hospitalized several times for dehydration and kidney failure.
I’ve been trying to escape the hellhole trap that is South Dakota for almost a decade and it’s overwhelming how much of my life is so immediately so much better. Things had gotten REALLY bad over 2023…
Just generally feeling great, better than I have in almost 10 years. Cheers to everyone in the Sput community; directly or indirectly this place always helps keep me grounded.
I don’t know if I’ve ever given a shit about actual RSD releases. Sometimes I’ll pick up a vinyl variant years later but that’s it. I just take any excuse to go record shopping lol
I picked up the At The Drive In - In/Casino/Out repress. Queued up for an hour outside Rough Trade in Soho for it as they were only letting in a handful of people at a time. Thankfully got a copy no issues (probably the only one there trying to grab the ATDI record). Poor girl in front of me had to go to the West London store to get an Oh Wonder record as that was the only one they had in stock. Was also behind a German man who flew over to England to buy the Kate Bush record.
Yeah good grief, it makes me super happy that people are still that invested in physical records but not for me, thanks. These were all just regular stock.
