03.22.24 | I could see Chrome Dreams in top 5. It’s such an amazing album that never was. He’s finally back on Spotify. As a huge fan of Neil (and a user of Spotify) I was stoked and proceeded to rebuild my multi-playlists of the different eras of Neil. Been jamming all week.
Interesting ranking, some unexpected placements. you’re missing a few albums. Definitely one of my favorite singer-songwriters up there with Nick Cave for me |

Has 10 extra songs from the Malibu sessions including early, wonderfully stony Crazy Horse versions of the likes of Pochantas, Powderfinger, and Ride My Llama. |

03.22.24 | Yeah Harvest Moon is definitely up there. I bought the bootleg cd of Chrome Dreams about a decade ago at a Slackers. It’s essentially his follow up to Zuma but got shelved and most of the songs ended up on later albums like Comes a Time, American Stars n Bars, Hawks and Doves, and Rust Never Sleeps- all of which (bar Rust) feel like lesser albums than the sum of the parts of Chrome Dreams |
