The Wretched Spawn
I REALLY wish that this one had less of a modern comic book coloring to it. If It had a bit more of the grittier, muddied coloring to it, it would prob be higher for me, but something about it seems too cartoony. Other than that, it’s gross and weird and nuts. Also, I know I just praised Eaten Back to Life for being cartoony, but that was more Tales From The Crypt cartoony, this color scheme gives me more Ultimate Spider-Man vibes. | | 8 |  | Cannibal Corpse

My only real problem with this is that the colors blend together too much so it can be difficult to make out the details if you’re not zooming in, but if that wasn’t the case this would be my #3 probably. I know this is a weird pick, but I remember when this thing first dropped and it was such a statement after years and years of hiding their really intricate, insane CD artwork from my parents. Then for this to just be so straight forward just felt like it was the most “no nonsense’ approach statement could possibly make at that time.
