4. Is part of a chemical structure, it's not complete so can only speculate what it is. The title L.D. 50, is a pharmacological term, to determine the lethal dose of a compound (often a drug) that will kill 50% of a population. No idea why they added a naked baby on the cover. The whole album has a pharmacological theme, as the music is supposed to be like taking a drug. |

In the booklet to LD50 you can see pictures of a baby in an incubator, as well as pics of the band members in their goofy make up. Given the sci-fi/drug themes in the album I always imagined some dystopian future where infants are given psychedelics and in turn cause them to grow up to be neon-haired nu-metal bands |
