OTEP Ranked

Looking forward to OTEP's new album, The God Slayer.
1Otep
Sevas Tra

A great mix of rapped, sung (clean), harsh and spoken word vocals, and a really strong start to OTEP's career. "T.R.I.C." is one of my all-time fav tracks of theirs. But in addition to that, this album also has stone-cold classics "Filthee", "Blood Pigs", "Battle Ready", etc.. And the majority of the deep cuts slay as well.
2Otep
Kult 45

Shocked at all the hate on this album. But I can understand why it doesn't resonate with those on the Right - because it fucking hits home...hard. It’s blunt and uncomfortable to listen to at times. Kult 45 has some huge bangers on it ("Halt Right" and "Molotov"). And "Said the Snake" and "Shelter in Place" are monumental and unforgettable. Love the return of rapped vocals and the inclusion of RATM influences. "Wake Up" is an excellent RATM cover - done by someone who actually has the props to do it.
3Otep
Atavist

Definitely amped up the harsh vocals on this album - to near death metal level. This aspect, which makes this album pretty unique (in the discography), is most apparent on "Atom to Adam". This album hits hard, both musically and vocally, and love that. Favorite tracks also include "Drunk on the Blood of Saints" and "Fists Fall". Also - OTEP covering the Doors makes 100% sense and doesn't disappoint.
4Otep
Generation Doom

A great album with a lot of diversity. The Lorde cover of "Royals" is a classic, as is "Equal Rights, Equal Lefts". A lot to like on this album.
5Otep
The_Ascension

Takes the best from Sevas Tra, and does it consistently throughout. Also has some huge crowd pleasers ("Confrontation", "Ghostflowers", and "Crooked spoons") and "Breed" - a great Nirvana cover. Only drawback is it starts blending together (gets same-same) towards the end.
6Otep
Smash the Control Machine

A good, cohesive album, but not a lot of tracks that linger with you.
7Otep
House of Secrets

Starts off strong (with "Warhead"), but not that memorable. And bogs down hard with predominantly spoken word tracks in the second half.
8Otep
Hydra

None of OTEP's album are bad. This album in particular starts and ends strong. and the guitar tone on early tracks ("Blowtorch Nightlight", "Seduce & Destroy") is some of OTEP's best. But 4 spoken word tracks in the middle (from "Hematopia" to "Voyeur") totally kill any momentum this album had. And the official single release from this album, "Apex Predator", is only so-so.
9Otep
Jihad

Deserves mention for early versions of "T.R.I.C.", "Filthee", and "Possession". And "The Lord is my Weopon" is pretty good. But the middle track, "Germ", is just OK.
10Otep
Wurd Becomes Flesh

This EP is 15 minutes of OTEP's spoken word, which are not my fav of her multiple vocal stylings. So will put this last.
11Prophets of Rage
Prophets of Rage
12Megadeth
Countdown to Extinction

Especially on "Symphony of Destruction"
