| Just got home from a show
...and my god I had the time of my life. Hadn't gone out since a while before COVID, FINALLY got there. This was wonderful. | 1 | | From Ashes To New Blackout
Show rating: 9/10
Wonderful energy live, an audio cut-out during "My Name" due to heat (it was really hot out during their set) but the band handled it with absolute class.
Setlist:
Nightmare
Heartache
Hate Me Too
Dead to Me
My Name
Panic
Through It All | 2 | | Fit for a King The Hell We Create
Show rating: 8/10
Really fun show, great energy, my mother misheard a line in "Vendetta" in a hilarious way, and they played 2 songs off their best album.
Setlist:
Eyes Roll Back
Vendetta
Breaking the Mirror
Reaper
The Price of Agony
When Everything Means Nothing
God of Fire | 3 | | In This Moment Godmode
Show rating: 6/10
I will never be a big fan of this band. But to their credit, the stage setup was really cool and their presence was great.
Setlist:
The Purge
The In-Between
Adrenalize
Blood
Sacrifice
Big Bad Wolf
Encore: Whore | 4 | | Motionless in White Scoring the End of the World
Show rating: 11/10.
Yes, you read that right.
I loved every second of this, even the songs I'm not super high on in studio were played to perfection. "Slaughterhouse" went off as expected, it was preceded by one of those typical "this is the best town we've ever played" speeches but it honest to god made me feel better about living where I do, and the final 10 minutes had me genuinely emotional. One of my favorite shows I've ever been to...EVER. Chef's kiss.
Setlist:
Scoring the End of the World
Sign of Life
Necessary Evil
Voices
Slaughterhouse
Reincarnate
Headache
Werewolf
Masterpiece
c0de
Another Life
Eternally Yours | 5 | | Motionless in White Disguise
Overall rating: mathematically this rounds out to 8.5/10 but I'm just going to completely ignore math for a change and give it a 10. The best show I've ever been to...not like it had a lot of competition but I mean, I haven't been to shows in like 5 years! Fuck me this was great. I got a shirt and it cost a bit too much but this is LIVING.

07.31.23 | sounds awesome! nice to hear FFAK put on a good show, Kirby is a beast of a vocalist. I've never been a big fan of Motionless in white but shit sounded unreal. | veninblazer
07.31.23 | Honestly helps that I've grown into such a big fan of the band the past 4-5 years really, but he called my town a bucket list town. My shitty ass rinky dink west ass colorado town. I hate this place and can't wait to get out but just for a night, he made me feel glad to be here. | bellovddd
07.31.23 | haha that is awesome! I haven't been out to a show before covid but have a few coming up :) | veninblazer

07.31.23 | I'm not sure on them or to much of August so I am going to make sure i give them a proper spin before I see them so I have an idea of whats going on haha | veninblazer
07.31.23 | Yeah I've heard snippets of Kublai and they're cool. ABR has some amazing stuff. | SomeCallMeTim
07.31.23 | doesn't look like my type of show but glad you had fun, live music can be an elevating vibe | Hawks
07.31.23 | Would've loved this if it was only Motionless in White and they only played Creatures straight through. | veninblazer
08.01.23 | a full creatures run would've been fun but the pace of the set was pretty much perfect for me. |
