| Remembering Chillwave
Sitting in a hand-me down 90s Plymouth parked outside my gf's house, I see a light go out, her parents will be asleep soon. Smoke drifts from my fingers out the window carried on the reverb drenched current of languorous lo-fi indie rock seeping from my stereo. The college radio program tells me it's the birth of a new style of music.::::::::::::::::::~~~~~~:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::~~~~~~:::::::::::::::::::::::::::
At once oneiric and wistful the fuzz-drenched swath of air beckons me to wander through a haze of reverie while gentle pop synths bloom and crushed snares triangulate my personal experience within a liminal past-present hauntological space. Crooning through the hazy mirage of pop's past to it's potential futures instrumented by a digitally mediated nostalgia-of-the-now. Such a near stabilized energetic-sonic arrangement could only become more particular and minimized in it's sound, either toward the sterility of lounge muzak, or continue covertly as the vector for inverted-future alt soundscapes articulated with more vitality towards the Culture's A E S T H E T I C cathexis.::::::::::~~~~~~:::::::::::~~~~::::::::::::::~~~~~~~:::::::::::::::::
