The most delicate and soothing song so far. At the beginning of the song it could almost pass as a Julien Baker song, with its mesmerising subtle guitar passages and female vocal melody on top. Though in usual prog metal fashion, we shift gears as the song becomes louder creating some of the most beautiful melodic moments seen in the landscape of the genre. |

Shadow of Intent are not usually a prog metal band, but this song absolutely is. This song feels like a Dream Theater instrumental track combined with the visceral impact of SoI's usual deathcore pastiche. The song also has Between the Buried and Me qualities with section often switching within a split second. SoI ever since I heard them have been one of my favorite deathcore bands, but this song solidified them as being probably my favorite. |
