BookoftheFallen: Candlemass: Ranked

kildare 05.04.23	Valuable list. I just got into these guys (rather, this guy) with the release of Sweet Evil Sun, and I'll eventually get through the whole discography. I've only spent time with the new one and the two best thus far. But I need to get through the Solitude Aeturnus discography before I start with Lowe's Candlemass work. I tried listening to tracks from Alone next to some from Death Magic Doom and it didn't work for some odd reason.
RunOfTheMill 05.04.23	Lowe's work with Solitude Aeturnus is better than what he did with Candlemass, but it's still decent. Better than their last two, these new ones with Johan Langqvist are very underwhelming.
BookoftheFallen 05.04.23	Sweet evil sun is one of their weaker albums. Just listen to any of the messiah albums and the first two solitude aeternus albums!
kildare 05.06.23	"these new ones...are very underwhelming." Yeah, I wasn't into doom before I heard "Scandinavian Gods" last year, and I thought the album was great. Then I started listening to the classic material and it went from being a Ritz cracker to just a regular old Saltine. It's too bad that bands seem to lose that spark, but I guess that's the way of it. "First two Solitude Aeternus": They're the first on my list when I swing back into a doom mode. But I wish their stuff easier to find outside streaming
