Sunnyvale's Top 25 Gordon Lightfoot Songs
RIP to a legend... My mom had several Gordon Lightfoot cassettes and he was one of very first artists I became interested in during my very late-blooming fascination with music. I can trace a lot of my love of folk/country/Americana to his discography. I'd argue he's more of a singles artist, but all of his albums during his 60's/70's heyday are at least pretty great. For the uninitiated, check Gord's Gold (one of the greatest Greatest Hits compilations ever) and Summertime Dream, his finest studio album, which came out after Gord's Gold. Here's my top 25 songs from his catalog, feel free to share your favorite omissions! |
