combustion07 03.18.23	I'm carless right now because my transmission shit out on me but I've owned 3 cars in my time driving. They were all Pontiac Grand Prixs l. First was a 98, second was a 2002 and my last one was a 2005. My latest had 334,000 miles on it so I got my money's worth. Bought all 3 used from the owners. They're all Grand Prixs because you can buy them stupid cheap since their intakes go out all the time. The intake goes out and most people think it's the engine and just sell them dirt cheap. Then you buy the intake for $60 to 100 and spend hours of frustration replacing it lol

I'll forever miss that car and all of the memories of being a jackass in it. Car shopping rn and gonna try to move away from the Grand Prixs but man the used car market is trash rn in my area
Hyperion1001 03.18.23	honestly 300k+ on any car is pretty amazing. i haven’t been around too many pontiacs but 90’s GM cars are pretty solid (especially compared to the current garbage they make) mines just over 210k but I gave her some TLC at 200. new timing belt, water pump, front control arms, and some other minor stuff like old seals and shit. she wasn’t breaking down but I’m trying to get her to 400k cause I love this car. Toyota gods bless my engine please.

Hyperion1001 03.18.23	“@hyp is yours manual?” nope unfortunately. it’s near impossible to find an original altezza body IS with a standard transmission that hasn’t been beat to shit. it’s my daily driver so I wanted it to actually last. my dad and i have been restoring a 93 3000gt vr-4 so when I want to actually drive I can just hop in that one. I just absolutely love the styling of the original IS and have wanted to own one for years. this one was single owner for its entire life and they were old (enter Lexus meme) so it was in amazing condition when I bought it. my goal is to get it to 400k if at all possible.
