| My AOTY Nominees
This year hasn't had any mind-blowing standouts for me, but these are my top picks so far | 1 | | Vexes Imagine What We Could Destroy / If Only Given Time
Deftones/Thrice-core at its finest. Great stuff on this long beast of an album.
8.5/10 | 2 | | Grumpster Fever Dream
Pretty standard pop punk that I've had on repeat for some reason.
8.25/10 | 3 | | Alvvays Blue Rev
Forgot to rate this back when I first heard it. Very dreamy, fun, and pretty sounding. This will probably end up as AOTY if nothing else comes along.
8.75/10 | 4 | | Sweet Pill Where the Heart Is
Literally just listened to this like an hour ago for the first time. Very, very good emo music that's right up my alley.

11.26.22 | Not the best year for music, but certainly a lot better than 2019 lmao | Scornfyre
11.26.22 | Johnny facts! I struggled hard to find an AOTY for 2019 for my Albums of the Years list.
This year has had a lot of great stuff, but it hasn't had anything 9 or above for me (at least from what I've actually tried) | Scornfyre
11.26.22 | For 2019 it was between Weyes Blood, whose album was pleasant but had no replayability for me, and fucking Harry Styles of all people. Both of which weren't even an 8 on a generous scale. Bleak indeed...
Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna go stalk your ratings (again) to find that 5 and 4.5 from 2022. | rockarollacola
11.26.22 | swag | Scornfyre
11.26.22 | GreyShadow it's funny you say that cause I'm actually trying Pool Kids as we speak. I'm like halfway through it rn. | Scornfyre
11.26.22 | Done. It's definitely very good. Conscious Uncoupling, Comes in Waves, Swallow, and Arm's Length are my favorites. My only gripes are that it sort of blends together at times and the vocalist, while incredibly talented, doesn't sound very distinctive to me. |
