Amen to that.
One of the (very) few things that I'm truly glad being British is the NHS (even though that is systematically being eroded). However, even in its crippled state, the essence of it is a wonderful, brilliant thing.
It shouldn't be a lottery where you happen to be born and live. Always happens to be that way, though. |

02.09.23 | This is awesome. Glad to hear your mother is going much better. Agree with the others here about how trash our healthcare system is. I grew up with my mom going through a handful of bouts with cancer and when she got it the first time she was a babysitter and had no health insurance, she got diagnosed and scrambled to get health insurance and at that time at least nobody was willing to take her on at a rate any kind of normal person can afford. So we lived with a nice mountain of debt. Thank God she's still around though. That experience alone caused me to develop a hatred for the way aspects of our society are setup and for the government in general at an extremely young age.
Ramble over. It's nice to see sput stepped up for you and your family though. Having a loved one struggle health wise is about the lowest on the human experience list for me |
