Pokémon Showdown

Been playing a lot of pokemon showdown recently, truly rekindled an old passion I forgot I had (and also a new form of rage that had never been awakened. Looking at you, SubPunch teams). Mainly been playing gen 4 teams but I have a gen 5 ou Rain dance team that I've been dabbling with. My name is, no shock, kingdedes on it.
1The Hope Conspiracy
Death Knows Your Name

Primal OG early 2000s hardcore. The riffs are savage, vocals scathing, the rage is surreal. If you like bands like Ghost of a Thousand you might like this, similar vibes bit with much less mathcore leanings.
2The Ghost of a Thousand
This Is Where The Fight Begins

Same deal but greater emphasis on mathcore segments and groovy riffs that make this sound like Converge dipped in ETID and lathered in some early Gallows. Basically it owns.
3Wilderun
Epigone

This is so lush and whimsical and adventurous. Definitely continues in the vein of Veil of Imagination but with darker, occasionally even suffocating segments that make this feel a little less spritely. Great shit if you like theatrical metal.
4Shadow Of Intent
Elegy

Man am I so happy that deathcore has taken such an upturn. Cathartic orchestral arrangements, omnipresent blast beats and one of the most genuinely ferocious vocal performances by SOI make this on par with Melancholy, mayhaps even better. Yeet

VOL. 4 :: SLAVES OF FEAR

Frickin BONKERS industrial/electropop that is beautiful, misanthropic, and filled with sick catchy beat drops. That end to the t/t made my balls drop straight through my apartment floor and now I owe hundreds of dollars in collateral but it's worthwhile for the DROP.
