Only series I would go back and watch again would be Death Note and Hellsing Ultimate. They're about the only two I could watch with my dad and not feel like a total disappointment.

bgillesp 10.15.21	You want psychological? Have you seen any of Satoshi Kon's films like Perfect Blue or Paprika? If not, those are amazing. Made in Abyss is a killer series w/ some tangentially psychological moments as well.
Shuyin 10.15.21	Something similar to Lain and Ergo proxy would be Texhnolyze, it's eerie and dreamlike, fucking loved it. Shigurui is also pretty damn good but it's based on feudal Japan and sadly didn't get a season 2.. still a great show, the art and music are top notch

Dedes 10.17.21	Watching Texhnolyze Its um, a bit confusing thus far but it's a similar experience I've had with Lain which is a borderline masterpiece so imma be patient Definitely love the atmosphere and art style, very dark and muted.

Dedes 10.17.21	Tekkokinkreet sounds like something I'd dig I'll definitely get to it uhh sometime Tbh once I finish Texhnolyze I know imma want to binge the hell out of Psycho Pass haha @keyblade it definitely embodies some of the more negative anime tropes but there's something that to me is just very enjoyably innocent and wholesome about most of the protagonists. The enemy's are a bit irritating since I've always hated the whole mindless sociopath trope. I feel like a true villain should feel like a genuine human being rather than some obnoxious 16 year old with a boner for decapitation.

Keyblade 10.17.21	dedes yea it was the tropes that put me off and I can't lie the protagonists were growing on me and I remember a lot of them being killed off before they had a chance to properly develop. whole show just felt hollow, like a boilerplate of a bunch of things that anime fans like with no real meat to it

A lot of the arcs did tbh Honestly I think it could have been an amazing anime had it even 10 or 12 more episodes to flesh out the protagonists. I still love it as is but it could've been A tier imo Also if they removed that Mr.Styles guy That would also be an improvement
