Shuyin 12.15.20	Come to Porto and order a Francesinha, you should also try the Cozido a Portuguesa, or any of our cod dishes. Another big attraction is Caldeirada which is made of several sea foods like crab and shrimp, it's delicious. The neighbour town of Porto, Matosinhos, has some of the best restaurants of seafood that I know of and most of them are right near the beach so if you decide to spend your vacations here and get real fat, that's the place to go

Love burgers (who gives a fuck it was started in Germany), but once you get into the bbq culture here it's all over. Edit: In other words my comment about 'murican food was strictly focused on US bbq. Shuyin gets it. It doesn't matter where it came from, it's who did it better. If it was flipped then you better get mad at 90% of japanese food (that's my hyperbolic percentage not reality) because it certainly has it's roots in the mainland.

Sometimes the flavors are there but the signature dishes that come to mind are boring and leave a lot to be desired. Green curry for instance, I don't like how relatively watery the consistency is, sometimes its just not flavorful enough or its too sweet or not spicy enough, the staple vegetables in the dish are the fucking worst (bell peppers are awful), and chicken is usually a shit meat. And of course the boring rice or noodle filler. I've never had thai and been impressed, regardless of the dish. And u keep trying. Compared to food like sushi and ramen, pho, dim sum, Mongolian hot pot, bibimbap, or malai kofta its just so uninspiring

Peppers suck ass, you need some shrimp instead of chicken too. I got brocolli, potatoes, carrots, and of course the shrimp loaded with that saucy goodness. It's much better without rice/noodles.

hal1ax 12.17.20	you have to find the right thai restaurants. i've had some amazing coconut curry soups and pineapple fried panang curry and yellow curry dishes. i'm not a huge fan of green curries either though.

ArsMoriendi 12.17.20	Spätzle isn't usually eaten alone, it's usually in a soup or with a sauce, at least in my experience... or at least when it's served with Hungarian cuisine (they call it nokedli, but it's the same thing) maybe the Germans are just weird with it Unlike pasta, it's really easy to make at home too. It goes well with goulash
