these 2019 releases were pretty good
yea |
1 | | Organ Tapes Hunger In Me Living
i can't really tell what the dude's singing about, but it feels like it's very emotional stuff that i connect to somehow. the magic of music, i guess. |
2 | | Erika de Casier Essentials
very erotic album. lots of skin, lots of e. |
3 | | New Sylveon Moth Avenue
ghetto music isn't dead yet, apparently. very much urban music. |
4 | | Durand Jones and The Indications American Love Call
classy shit. |
5 | | Pup Morbid Stuff
PUP keeps refining their craft, and although they lose some of their rawness they make up for it (kinda) with great hooks, fun songs and a more varied repartoire of sounds. |
6 | | Haruomi Hosono Hochono House
classy shit [2] |
7 | | (Sandy) Alex G House Of Sugar
god damn this is good. 2/3 of this album is goals for any singer songwriter out there. middle part is kinda trash, but songs like gretel, t/t, cow, southern skies are sorta timeless. |
8 | | Kishi Bashi Omoiyari
sad stuff, good stuff. Annie heart thief of the seas is among my SOTY, tbh. |
9 | | rooga Back Da Fuck Up
didn't listen to a lot of hip hop this year. I was starting to feel like i wouldn't get a truly enjoyable listen out of this year, but then rooga comes in with the greatest "no u" verses ever. You brought your biggest gun? we got a bigger gun. |
