Chamberbelain's Top 20 Albums of 2019
For those that may have noticed, *tumbleweed* I've pretty much stopped reviewing music. In all honesty, I simply found a new hobby and haven't had the time to dedicate the same amount of attention to albums as regularly as I used to. I may still review albums, and I still lurk around on this site reading other people's reviews but I no longer have the same drive to write about albums as I used to. Thanks to anyone who read them and praised me. I started writing reviews because I was lead on my bed listening to music and decided to write about what I heard purely because I was bored and I didn't expect other people to tell me I was good at it, let alone rack up over 100K views on one review alone. Thanks again.
Anyway, this year has been rather average. Some standout albums but overall it's been pretty middling. Still, there have been some pretty amazing moments live... I saw Massive Attack perform Mezzanine, I saw Tool at Download, Gojira has become my favourite live band ever, I nearly cried during 'Ugly and Vengeful' when I saw Anna Von Hausswolff, plus, I've discovered a bunch of new bands, most of which made it to the list below. Overall, it's been GOOD.
As for 2020, I'm seeing Rolo Tomassi perform "Time Will Die..." and "Grievances" in full at ArcTanGent. Shapes will be thrown.
