Between the Buried and Me Ranked
1Between the Buried and Me
The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues

My review for this is just *jaw-dropped on the floor for 30 mins*, but no... I really do think this is the band's best work, this is their most tech-death work I find. This is just so frenetic, so bombastic, but in the best way. The riffs are beyond satisfying, this album also features some of the best breakdowns I've ever heard in metal. At 30 minutes, it doesn't overstay it's welcome in the slightest, which is the opposite from Colors, TGM, and PII. How the don't play any of these songs live currently is a crime.

2Between the Buried and Me
The Parallax II: Future Sequence

Parallax II, TGM, and Colors are so incredibly close in quality, this is bands best era without a doubt.

3Between the Buried and Me
The Great Misdirect

Colors I is fantastic, I don't how they managed to top it but they did with this album. This album has everything that makes up Colors, only grander, and with even more soulfulness in the prog-rock sections. Mirrors is an extraordinarily great opener, the riffs on here are absolutely mind-bending. Honestly, it is really close between TGM and Colors, but I personally choose TGM.

4Between the Buried and Me
Colors

Colors II made me realize once again how amazing this one is. The album encompasses everything that makes this era of the band so fantastic. From the blistering technicality to the sweeping prog rock-esque somber sections.

5/5
5Between the Buried and Me
Automata I

This album has a really dark and nocturnal aura to me. I used to listen to it on constant repeat on my commutes back and forth to work. Honestly, Condemned to the Gallows is one of their most solid standalone tracks, and that's not even considering the rest of the tracks on this album. Best of post-parallax era.

4.5/5
6Between the Buried and Me
Coma Ecliptic

Can't believe this album gets so trashed on, genuinely. I know many people, even IRL friends; who enjoy this album and not any other BTBAM album, and its easy to see why. So many parts are so infectious, from start to finish this album is such a blast to listen to.

4.5/5
7Between the Buried and Me
Alaska

This is very great, lots of versatility, although it's mostly on the heavier side. Some of their classics are on here for sure.

4.5/5
8Between the Buried and Me
Automata II

I like this a fair bit less than AI. Bellow is great, but then Voice of Trespass I feel like is pretty camp, even though there's some fun sections here and there. The Grid is just kinda boring as far as closers go.

4/5
9Between the Buried and Me
Between the Buried and Me

A simple album, but sometimes that's all you need, really enjoyable.

4/5
10Between the Buried and Me
The Silent Circus

BTBAM's mathcore days, I still take this over Dillinger any day, but it's certainly not a favorite of mine in their discography.

4/5
11Between the Buried and Me
Colors II

Over the almost a year it's been out, I haven't felt the need to return to this all that much. I much prefer the dark and brooding atmosphere of Automata I in terms of the post-parallax era albums. Overuse of hooks I think hurts this album a fair bit. Bloated as all hell, I like long BTBAM albums generally, but this just becomes a slog around the second half.
