| 2019 Concerts So Far
2019 has been my biggest concert year yet and that is saying a lot! Will be adding to this as more continue to pop up. Festivals: Bonnaroo, Summerfest, Sad Summer Fest, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Riot Fest. | 1 | | Microwave Much Love
Microwave and Four Years Strong - Little acoustic show. Microwave are one of my favorite bands and as usual they did not disappoint | 2 | | Bring Me The Horizon Suicide Season
Bring me the horizon, Thrice and Fever 333 - Fever were okay live, Thrice played really well but BMTH fans are just NOT their audience so it was a little awkward. BMTH was one of the most fun performances I have ever seen. This show was just before he blew out his throat again, so it was amazing hearing the deathcore medley of all the old songs. They are quite the performers and I can see why they have moved into playing festivals. | 3 | | The Band CAMINO Heaven
The Band CAMINO - Amazing how quickly this band has gone from small venues to selling out mid sized ones and being billed at major music festivals. They sounded beautiful and spot on live. Great performance. | 4 | | Pinegrove Skylight
Pinegrove and Another Michael - The opener Another Michael had plenty of charm and was very well paired with Pinegrove and warrants a listen for those interested! Pinegrove was incredible though and I ended up finding some new favorites from their backlog of music. Skylight was an AOTY for me, so this high energy performance was magical. | 5 | | AJJ Knife Man
AJJ - A small acoustic performance of just their frontman at a bar. It was a great light hearted show and was also the first time going to a concert with my gf. | 6 | | Better Oblivion Community Center Better Oblivion Community Center
Better Oblivion Community Center, Lala Lala and Christian Lee Hutson - In my opinion the openers were nothing very noteworthy, but Christian was a nice acoustic performance. Conor and Phoebe were AMAZING. I went to this show back to back nights. Hearing them switch off performing eachothers music and ripping through their entire new album together was perfect. Conor was everything I have always expected his live performance to be and I became a huge Phoebe fan especially after hearing her destroy Easy, Lucky, Free | 7 | | Big Wild Superdream
Big Wild and Robotaki - My gf is very into EDM and there are now going to be more random shows like this popping up in my life. Big Wild was a very cool performance though! | 8 | | La Dispute Panorama
La Dispute - I hate that I didn't love this performance more. I have a feeling that the over sized venue for the size of the crowd that came out had a lot to do with this one, but this just wasn't the same as the times I have seen them open for other bands before. As always, the singer had some wild energy and they had a really cool stage setup with a lit background and a carpet on the ground. | 9 | | mewithoutYou [Untitled]
Mewithoutyou and The Appleseed Cast - The Appleseed Cast's new music was extremely impressive and I am very excited for their new album to come out. Mewithoutyou was amazing as expected. I was front row with a group of people and we all quickly realized that we had each came to the show alone and it was nice to be with a random group of people and bond over the music. Still bummed they didn't play Rainbow Signs as this was a bonus show for the tour that was planned last second, but it was great to finally get the chance to hear them. | 10 | | The Mountain Goats In League With Dragons
The Mountain Goats - This has been a favorite band of mine since early college and having a sold out venue singing the songs from the top of their lungs was a religious experience. The show opened with him singing No Children from the balcony above the crowd and it was entrancing. | 11 | | PUP Morbid Stuff
PUP - This was my third time getting to see PUP live and I was excited to hear some of their new songs. New songs did not disappoint and closing on Scorpion Hill was a phenomenal choice for the band just because how epic the song is. I had a delayed flight and unfortunately had to show up to the show late. | 12 | | Hot Mulligan Pilot
Hot Mulligan and Belmont - I did not find Belmont to be very exciting, but they play run of the mill pop-punk that I probably should give more credit to. Hot Mulligan is a very high energy, youthful, pop-punk group that has quickly became my favorite in the newer scene. Their performance was able to match their album performance for the most part. | |

07.23.19 | What have your favorite shows been this year and/or did you go to any of these tours and what did ya think??? :-) | butt.
07.23.19 | nice, seeing Oberst tonight, Menzingers next week, and PUP in September. Might catch From Indian Lakes in November.
My fav show this year was Back to the Beach in CA, mostly ska and pop punk. great fucking time. A close second was Slayer m/ | Feather
07.23.19 | Back to the Beach looked sooooooo awesome, I'm jealous. I'm seeing Slayer at riot Fest which should be sweet.
I am so excited to see Oberst tomorrow night! I have seen Menzingers and PUP and both are a blast live (more so PUP imo). Never heard of From Indian Lakes, what are they like? | butt.
07.23.19 | they started out indie rock + post-hardcore, then went pretty much full dream pop, now somewhere kind of in the middle. they just dropped their new album's first single actually, the news article is still on the front page. check it! | Pikazilla
07.23.19 | 9 is a wet-dream lineup. YOU ARE SO LUCKY I AM SO JEALOUS ARGH
Also, fuck those dumb bmth fans, not appreciating thrice smh. | Feather
07.23.19 | Pika I got very lucky ... they were on tour together and had an off day, but decided to announce an extra chicago data with less than 24 hours notice ... the show didn't even sell out and was at such a random tiny venue.
I had never listened to appleseed, but when they played their new song Time the Destroyer I was completely hooked.
And yeah, that was the second weird lineup I've seen thrice be a part of ... the time before they had ... La Dispute open for them, so very strange. | Feather
07.23.19 | Buttboy Ill give them a listen this afternoon and DM you | dmathias52
07.24.19 | So far I’ve seen:
Bon Iver - If you’re a fan of his music and have a chance to see him live, TAKE IT. It’s hard for me to listen to him now with how impressive his live show was.
mewithoutYou/Cursive/The Appleseed Cast - The most crazy of lineups and saw it in an old refurbished barn in the middle of nowhere in Iowa. Appleseed Cast’s new album is out and very good!
Anberlin/I The Mighty - Emotional show for me, as Anberlin were the band that got me into music and I never thought I’d get to see them live.
Sad Summerfest - Literally just got back from it! The Wonder Years were my highlight, but The Maine put on a crazy entertaining show.
Between Anberlin, mewithoutYou, The Wonder Years, and Bon Iver, I’ve seen four of my top five favorite bands in the past three months! | SlothcoreSam
07.24.19 | You guys all make me jelly.
All I've seen this year is
Foxing, 5/5
Camp Cope 4/5
Punk in Drublic:
Bad Religion 4/5
NOFX 3.5/5
The Last Gang 4/5
The festival as a whole with heaps of craft beer 4.5/5. | Feather
07.24.19 | @Slothcore Foxing is incredible live man! Camp Cope has always seemed kinda cool, but Im not huge on them.
@dmathias so I was at work making this list and I got busy and left off my most recent shows ... I saw Bon Iver at Summerfest and I went to Sad Summerfest in Columbus, both incredible! I am extremely jealous of you Anberlin/I the Mighty show ... but crazy we have been to a lot of the same things! | butt.
07.24.19 | Oberst show was awesome. You'll have a blast tonight Feather | Feather
07.25.19 | Oberst show was great. PHOEBE showed up and sang a song with Conor, I think she lives in chicago so that made some sense. | butt.
07.25.19 | wuuuuut im fuckin jealous |
