The John Wick franchise takes a major hit thanks to an overabundance of tongue-in-cheek self-awareness, adding an element of humor that throws off the balance on top of some repetitive action scenes. While the musical elements lacked a certain punch every once in a while, Rocketman (and Taron Egerton) did an excellent job of investing me in the story.
