"by the way, what's the deal with Eighth Grade? why do people like it so much?
I refuse to watch it, as it deals with one of the most uninteresting topics in the world: american coming-of-age"
it's an okay movie, but i feel the praise it got was for the accurate depiction of young teens and social media (that didn't feel like some old white guy trying to sound hip and coming off truly disconnected)
felt like the surviving band members trying to rewrite history to make themselves look good.
"oh, we were the upstanding ones in the band who never did anything wrong! we went to bed on time and never did drugs! Freddie was a problematic gay... er, i mean not that there's anything wrong with that. but he fucked up and he had to come crawling back and beg our forgiveness to make things right again"
fuck brian may so hard. and that little puss roger taylor
people got tricked by the obvious stellar soundtrack and great performance by malek.
like seriously if you watch Walk Hard, then go watch Bohemian Rhap, you'll shit how many obvious and boring clichés and tropes they fall into.
