Lucman's 1500 Ratings Celebration

So I've hit the big 1500. Time for a look back at some of the best records I've discovered since using the site.
1O'Brother
Garden Window

My most recent discovery. Every track here has at least one moment that leaves my jaw hanging. What a phenomenal debut.
2Converge
Jane Doe

Thanks to Sput's undying praise I too got to experience this monster of a record.
3Destroyer
Kaputt

An ode to one of my favourite users. I've found a lot of treasures through our lovable doofus.
4There Will Be Fireworks
The Dark, Dark Bright

If it weren't for Sput I wouldn't have found the record that I would eventually come to call my all-time favourite.
5Yellowcard
Southern Air

Another ode to our one and only Sowing Season. The vast majority of my discoveries have been through his superb reviews.
6Frightened Rabbit
The Midnight Organ Fight

RIP Scott. This record still means so much.
7Mineral
EndSerenading

I was only vaguely familiar with emo before joining the site but Sput made me fall completely in love with the genre.
8Laura Stevenson
Wheel

The sweetest thing I have heard to this day. Still have quite the crush on this girl.
9My Bloody Valentine
Loveless

Here's a funny story. It took me forever to listen to this because I used to think it was a record by Bullet For My Valentine. It wasn't until I bit the bullet and put it on that I realized my idiotic blunder.
10The Menzingers
On the Impossible Past

If there is one thing I have learnt during my time here it's that you guys know your punk music.
11The National
Trouble Will Find Me

A Sput icon soon turned into an icon of my own. I think I might even prefer these guys over Radiohead at this point, although of course, I adore both.
12Rolo Tomassi
Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It

And finally, we have last year's astonishing piece of metal delivered by Rolo Tomassi. It was thanks to Sput's hupe train that I originally hopped on board and I will be forever grateful for it.
