I will admit it was about 100 times better than any other Wolverine movie. If we must have superhero movies, better ones were Deadpool and Thor: Ragnarok. And Birdman obv.

The characters were much more well realized. The themes of that movie were much more mature and thought provoking, not just the violence. Deadpool was great fun, but I don't think it really compares as a film. Damn, everyone seems to love Birdman here lmao - I dunno, I thought it was really good but I would put Green Room, Ex Machina, etc above it - those would prob be in my top 15

I watched it two nights in a row and personally loved it, but my girl thought it was dumb lol. Then proceeded to watch Black Swan and was blown away.

DarkSideOfLucca 12.18.18	Well no you don't (hence me enjoying those Nolan films I just mentioned) but those movies have a lot of problems that I find in recent Nolan movies - mostly that the human characters just serve as exposition/explaining the plot to the audience instead of actual characters and they are just a bit soulless in general, even though they are technically impressive. Just not my thing (outside of those 4 I mentioned)

Prometheus I wanted to love so much. I even told everyone I loved it afterwards because I fooled myself into thinking I liked it lol, but the writing to that movie is garbaggeeeeee. Seriously, fuck Lindelof for so many reasons. Major character issues, pacing issues, plot holes, etc. So that wouldn't make mine either.
