I’m also not entirely sure the direction i want to take. Since each demo i’ve made has ranged from sludge metal to emo / pop punk to straight up post - hardcore. This demo has an interesting set of ideas though i think. |

That part is awesome. Tbh I only get the most minimal of BM vibes from this, but I really liked it regardless. I would maybe try to steer away from higher range you go into sometimes, because it gets kind of whiny, but your mid-lower range is really perfect for this. I really liked this a lot. |

10.30.18 | Yeah, only half of the songs have black metal elements. I was going to add more, but the riffs and sections i came up with weren’t that good or interesting imo, so i scrapped them.
I really only did the black metal stuff because i’m in a black metal band, and i wanted to practice different screamed vocal techniques / layering techniques.
But yes, i agree about the high vocal stuff. It kinda ruins it for me whenever i listen to this. |

10.31.18 | I thought the vocals were quite impressive and it sounds really decent for a phone recording. I'd love to help you out with mixing / re-arranging (especially in the guitar department) your music, but it kinda depends on what kind of production you want. Also, nice synth work, I think the songwriting is done very well. It is slightly inconsistent, I don't think the pop punk and black metal fit that well (especially on the last few tracks) but it is really good for a demo |
