Through the Eyes

First 5 songs rule, everything else is meh. But they rule enough to where this deserves a mention.
16Linkin Park
Hybrid Theory

I don't like these guys that much. I'm sorry. But I do have some nostalgia here so it made the list.
15Ill Nino
Revolution/Revolucion

Cheesy, but very fun. I dig the Spanish vibes
14Limp Bizkit
Significant Other

Shut up, I have fun with this.
13Disturbed
Believe

Melodies for days, yo.
12Mushroomhead
XIII

I actually am not really huge on this band, but this album is fun as hell. And anyone who knows me here knows that Meshuggah is my favorite band, so hearing Jens on this album back in the day was a HUGE plus. Freddy Vs Jason got me into these guys lol
11Nothingface
Skeletons

Jam this now pls thanks.
10Dry Kill Logic
The Darker Side Of Nonsense

Underrated as hell. I recommend everyone checks this one out. Great for the gym and also if you’re playing Doom
9Chimaira
The Impossibility Of Reason

I remember thinking that this was replacement Slipknot once Vol 3 came out. Heavy, angry, brutal. m/
8Staind
Dysfunction

If you played bass, then you probably covered Mudshovel live with your shitty high school band when this was around. This is Korn rip off at its best.
7Sevendust
Animosity

The most melodic and beautiful within the genre imo. These guys know how to write hooks. Can’t wait to see them in two days!
6Korn
Korn

People tend to forget how unique this album was when it first came out. Absolutely nothing sounded like this, and it took Jonathan and co a lot of balls to wear all of their emotions on their sleeves and shove it in your face like they did hear. There is a reason everyone was trying to rip this shit off when it first came out.
5Static-X
Wisconsin Death Trip

PURE. INSANITY. The only A+ album this band has ever made. RIP Wayne.
4System of a Down
System of a Down

SO MUCH CRAZINESS. I know that some people don’t even consider these guys nu metal because that has kind of a negative connotation, but I think they still qualify. Along with Wisconsni Death Trip, this is one of the most bonkers nu metal albums I have ever heard.
3Deftones
Around the Fur

It’s fucking Deftones. Nuff said.
2Slipknot
Slipknot

I remember first hearing this in 1999 and thinking it was the heaviest album of all time. Leave me alone, I didn’t hear death metal until a year or two later. This is probably my most nostalgic album of all time, along with Ride the Lightening and God Hates Us All.
1Mudvayne
L.D. 50

This is basically if Tool were more metal and more nu metal. Great musicianship (although the guitars are a bit underwhelming) and fucking fantastic production. I could listen to this album forever. This is far more complex than it has any right to be. If they made more albums like this, they’d be one of my favorite bands.
