DarkSideOfLucca 10.19.18	Well H20 included Halloween 1 and 2. This just includes Halloween 1 so they're not siblings or anything and nothing in the story after THAT night is included. 40 years after the trauma of the first film.

DarkSideOfLucca 10.19.18	Tbh I actually like that they're not siblings. That's part of what was so scary about the original. Just this force of evil walks around, stalks and kills random people for no reason with no other motive. It really fits with the inhumanity behind his eyes etc and makes the audience fear that it could be them. Not that "oh I might have some long lost sibling that I don't know about" or whatever. But to be fair, it took me a bit to get used to as well.

Seeing as how we’re both huge horror movie buffs, I trust you. I love them so much I decided to write them as my profession (horror screenwriter).yeah, my dad started letting me watch anything I wanted at a really young age (parents got divorced when I was 3), so I saw elm at 5, The Exorcist at 7 etc. and yeah they freaked me out, but I discovered that I fucking LOVED being scared at a really young age. My dad used to tell me ghost stories before bed, I read true haunting books, I went to haunted houses etc. I almost fully credit my dad with igniting and fostering that love.

It sounds like we had a similar upbringing and have a similar connection with horror as well. Thanks man, I'm excited to hear your feedback! And keep in mind, I REALLY loved a lot about this movie. This is definitely my favorite sequel, but it's just so frustrating because this could have been an A+ movie so easily if you just edited out some obvious bullshit. It's just that the bullshit here was extra offensive to me.

DarkSideOfLucca 10.19.18	Yeah but that wasn’t a complaint of mine. I was totally fine with Sarah Conner Laurie stuckmann gave it a C, but he also gave the last Jedi an A so while I agree with him most of the time, definitely not all
