Autumn

i've been so busy I didn't even notice we're already near the final quarter of 2018. my, how time flies. 🍁🍃🌖
1Innsmouth
Consumed By Elder Sign

the holidays are upon us and these final months will undoubtedly fly by
2Infernal Coil
Within a World Forgotten

as we get older we perceive time to go by faster, and faster
3Atelier du Mal
Noblesse Oblige

i don't know if its the placebo-effect or if we just get complacent with life
4Tuluum Shimmering
Thunderous Slit-Gongs on Islands of Cloud

and i'm not talking about stagnation either, even while experiencing new things and growing as a person. we tend to get jaded from our experiences and we have this subjective perception of what the world is.
5Ichiko Aoba
Pirated December 7, 2010

as I get older a years length seems to go by faster than the previous
6Human Hands
Human Hands

do we become disinterested in every day life? most people do not live in the moment like a child or dog would and our experiences and interactions are ever fleeting and the days begin to just pass on by
7The Clearing Path
Watershed Between Firmament And The Realm of Hyper

i remember being a little kid and the summers felt like an eternity,
8Attila Zoller
Gypsy Cry

we tend to lose the wonder we gazed at the world with, and its because we 'think' we understand how our world works but we don't know anything really. the over-stimulation, the desensitization of things we could feel
9Ichiro Fujiya & Takeshi Kurihara
Elephant and a Barbar

the one that thinks he knows all is the one that knows nothing
10Altered States
Mosaic

children will always be pure because of their ignorance to their world, while not conscious, that vulnerable state is like a glass of clean water and its only a matter of time until some black paint drips in
11Medications
Completely removed

today is the youngest i'll ever be and man am I going to own it. people come, people go. there is nothing wrong with getting older, but there is something wrong with just existing. you take your dna, the things you've done, the people that you've been in contact with, and they don't equal you.
12Belsebub
Disemboweled

people are so much greater than the sum of their parts, we just tend to forget that.. unfortunately i've had two friends pass away from drug overdoses this year and it's been disillusioning to say the very least. why are we reminded of this only in bad times; when we think we have a semblance of mortality? even now there is nothing particularly exciting happening besides school and work but that's just fine. i'm healthy and I have a roof over my head. rambling aside.. I really want to work on living in the moment more.
