I was really into this band back in the day, especially with this instrumental closer. Everything else on the featured album is a bit poppier and truer to the band's aesthetic than this song, but this was always my favorite from them. This was drummer Darren King at his best. It sucks that he's gone, but maybe he'll find something better. Dude has too much talent not to be used right now.

Been meaning to check these guys but this song didn't do much for me. I think the chorus especially was quite underwhelming.

Pretty neat little frosty vibe to this and I dig the guitarwork. Didn't blow me away (vertical horizon esque vocals were a bit of a hindrance), but solid.

Drum machine and 80s pop vocals, okay... this isn't bad, but it's also noting special. The funk bass seems like an afterthought, which is kind of annoying. I'd probably like the song more without it or maybe if it was more prominent. Very MOR song.

08.20.18 | NDS - I shamelessly admit that I don't get this and I don't enjoy it at all, it gets on my nerves if anything, but +.5 for the concept and that piano (?) part around the 2 minute mark was kinda cool... 1.5/5

08.20.18 | 11. Mutemath - Reset - 3.9
Love the vibes and harmonies on this track. I'm not sure it ever quite stuns me though.
12. Creedence Clearwater Revival - I Put a Spell on You - 3.3
Not really my style, but I could see myself vibing to this at a concert weather-providing.
13. Drive - Pandilla - 2.9
power metal ew. still I'm happy for a break from all the indie I usually have to force myself through
14. Supercell - Feel So Good - 3.5
15. Evening Hymns - Evil Forces - 4.3
Had to listen on spotify because video in link was "unavailable". This is actually dope. It has some beef and force for an indie folk song, but it's just watered down and pop-y enough that I can enjoy it even though it's indie folk. Shame about the indie folk chorus but I'm a big fan of the instrumentals and verses, aka the bits which are more like indie rock and less like indie folk.
16. Illenium - Fractures - 1.6
I can't stand this sort of electro pop. It's like having a wasp in my ear.
17. The Roots - Section - 4

Some nice instrumentals but then the vocals come and ruin it. Wait...is this another power metal entry. Yeah I think it is. ALSO, GROUP POLL
Would the idea of next month's thread having a "theme" of sorts interest people? Not like a genre but a theme more like "songs that got you into music" or "weird stuff" or "catchy stuff" or any other suggestions. If lots of people are on board I may try that. Nothingface - yep Voivod is awesome, tho not my absolute *favourite* track from them 4.2/5
The Joke - really liked the vocals here, I feel like everytime I expect her to sing a certain note she ends up singing something different, quite compelling. The instruments were fine, I guess tho I preferred the softer sections that started off the beginning of the track rather than that grandiose ending... 3.5/5 |

08.29.18 | So I have a fetish for gilles' imaginary sister, what's it to ya?
I swear on me mum I'll finish this come the morrow. |

I already really like So Tonight That I Might See, so this song already has me excited. Wow it's less gloomy sounding than the stuff on STTIMS, I like the change up and the guitar and vocals are just as engaging. :) The title makes me want challah bread honestly though.
I like dream pop a lot when it isn't too shoegazey or godforbid Lana Del Rey brand drivel.

08.30.18 | Nothingface - I could never get into this band and this is a huge faux pas in metal circles. But I'm sure their groundwork was important. 2.5
Город Pозовых Cнов - This was a song that I heard. 2.9
B&E - What's wrong with her face?? Took a bit to get to that climax, but it was a great climax. 3.9
Halah - Always loved how stoned she sounds. Nice song. 3.8
Daylight - lol worst cover ever. Also I had to check if the speed was lowered on my youtube. They somehow skirt the area between soaring and dragging. 3 |

08.30.18 | Ladytron - Destroy Everything You Touch: a decent seeet accessible pop song. 3.5 |

08.30.18 | Halah - Really wish this were longer, but it's good for what it is 3.5/5
Destroy Everything You Touch - This is awesome. The drums drive the hell out of this song and it's quite catchy, I can get behind this 3.9/5 |
RunOfTheMill
08.30.18 | Daylight - This one works better in the context of the album imo, which I do quite like, but this track never stood out to me and I don't think it stands on its own very well, but y'know, it's fine 3/5 |

08.31.18 | Nothing - "Guilty of Everything": Got damn. That was light years better than anything off their newest album, not even a contest.
4.2/5
Mazzy Star - "Halah": Idk, I could've just listened to the last song again. I was extremely indifferent on this one.
3.0/5
Ladytron - "Destroy Everything You Touch": The music isn't bad, don't get me wrong, and the singer is at least okay. However, everything just sounds so weak. The synths never get a chance to truly shine and there's an ugly production static throughout the entire thing. I'm sorry, but I didn't like this very much.
2.6/5
Failure - "Daylight": I was expecting a rap verse from the intro lol. The vocals are kinda bad but the guitar sound and symphonic background are pretty neat, and I like the weird experimental instruments in the first half.

08.31.18 | Don't know if this is too late, but I'll post the ratings anyway. If it's too much work for Neef to update the list, then he doesn't have to.
Город Pозовых Cнов: This just gives that overwhelming "yeah, it's okay" feeling. 2.7
B&E: This was some solid Shoegaze with a great climax. 3.5
Halah: Maybe I'm not the type of guy for this, but this felt kinda boring for the most part. Had some great things to it, but the track didn't really build to anything special. 3.0
Destory everything you touch: Catchy but kinda repetitive. 3.0
Daylight: Really loved this one, some great instrumentation. 4.3 |

Just for future reference I know that you said the format was a little wonky, is there anyway we could make it easier for you or would it be better to just leave it the way it is? c: |
