10 Days: Impactful Albums Still Rotating

I was recently nominated to post for 10 days, in no particular order, 10 albums that made an impact in my life and are still on rotation. Here they are, from Day 1 to Day 10.
1Rage Against The Machine
Rage Against The Machine

I was heavily into this band and album in both high school and college. Before any sports practice, this album was played. Before any extreme outdoor sports, this album was played. This album was worn out, from playing often and loudly in my college dorm room. Still a great listen and meaningful.
2Alice in Chains
Dirt

I listened to this album constantly, had around 4 to 5 cassette copies of it (for various vehicles), and even rocked it for my date during my junior prom. She loved it!
3Incubus (USA-CA)
S.C.I.E.N.C.E.

Back in the late 1990's/early 2000's, this nu-metal masterpiece provided the perfect timing to get in my car, roll the windows down, turn the stereo up, and have the album at maximum volume when I was driving around campus or town.
4Motley Crue
Decade of Decadence

This compilation album was the best!! Got it for my birthday back when I was a wee one. Still my favorite of all the Motley Crue albums.
5Circle of Dust
Circle of Dust

Late 1999. Just broke up with my girlfriend of 2 years. Resulted in taking a drive, a long drive, and picking a random CD to take my mind off things. Still love it, but this industrial powerhouse will always be THAT CD. Know what I mean?
6In Flames
Clayman

A European friend, a long time ago, gave me this album. I was not into it at all, but I also couldn't get rid of it (as it was a heartfelt gift). So I held onto it for some years. After collecting dust in the closet; I pulled it out, popped it into the CD player, and pushed play. BOOM! That was it...I have been a big In Flames fan ever since.
7Evanescence
Fallen

Mid 2000's. Driving down the Blue Ridge Parkway. Debating on whether to keep going or take a swan dive off Grandfather Mountain. Chose to keep rockin' and this album, 1 of the 2 albums on this drive, helped pull me out of my funk.
8Type O Negative
October Rust

See prior note. This is album 2 of 2. Perfect soundtrack for a thoughtful drive, which occured in the Fall.
9Black Veil Brides
Wretched and Divine

Ever felt beaten down by life, work, the like? Back in 2014,this album helped to uplift my spirits, vision a light at the end of the tunnel, and push through difficult times.
10Tool
Ænima

Since 1996, few progressive metal albums rival this one in diversity of songs and texture, richness, intricacy, and use of varying time signatures. Such a cerebral album. Not to get too weird, but listening to certain songs on this album (in the right situation) can be akin to catching a glimpse of that next astral plane. Feel like my spirit is trying to leave my body during Forty-Six & 2.
