foxblood 04.30.18	I think that anyone that has listened to that many albums is at least slightly interesting or must have some really amazing albums in their repertoire of musical knowledge that I don't know about. Discovalante, for example, must know a ton of fantastic albums that no one here knows about. And I'm curious if there are any users on this site that I don't already know about that have heard that many albums and this seams like the easiest way to find any, to ask for suggestions.

foxblood 04.30.18	I don't think so. Sandwich has very interesting taste to me since he listens to twee kinda stuff. He's listened to so much you can't really make that much of a generalization about his taste. There are def some genres he doesn't delve into at all though. anything hard for example lol. Sinternet he's not that bad but yeah not totally crazy unique stuff or anything. So to me they're both interesting and everyone on this site with over 3k or 4k ratings interests me somewhat regardless of what genres they like. Maybe that's weird, idk, I think listening to a shit ton albums is cool even if it's stuff I don't listen to.

Maybe you have to have blander taste to listen to that many thousands of albums lol idk. disco is def way too into Japan and should maybe branch out a little but he's still unique I think. A lot of Japanese music goes under the radar so at least someone is on here appreciating it. pots seems to really value aesthetic and abstract stylistic qualities. agreed he doesn't seem to enjoy going too extreme but that's ok he can flirt with the radio line sometimes if he wants to. I still have never seen anyone similar to him taste-wise.

Someone like TwigTW who maybe rates even more new releases than Sandwich you can see he listens to the albums in full a few times over a week etc. Someone like Sint must listen to a lot he doesn’t track on LastFM because barely anything goes up and when it does it’s like a playlist. I listen to a sort of 50/50 split between new and old stuff

Because he’s one of the older users on the site and he’s been fanatical about rating music for at least ten years (I think). I imagine he listens to most albums in full, but only half of what he rates I’d guess he returns to. Though he is relistening to everything while putting ratings up on RYM which started this year I think. One of the best users here, really interesting taste imo

I’m not really in the Gordon Gekko sort of world lol I guess you could say I’m in cruise control at work but it pays the bills and I work with two of my best buddies which makes things a lot easier. LastFM has told me there have been weeks I spent half the week listening to music. Not half my ‘waking hours’ - half the entire hours available! Shiiiiiiiiit

Sinternet 04.30.18	ooh some interesting takes in this threa i just have pretty much no taste whatsoever i'll jam anything and probably somewhat like it also 90% of those ratings are a couple of years old from when I was in college and would basically jam about 12-15 full albums a day, nowadays I barely listen to full albums and just stick my library on shuffle some of the ratings (mostly the sub-3.0 stuff) I either haven't heard since I was 15 or turned it off halfway through because it was bad/boring idk why my last.fm sucks like it seemingly scrobbles half my stuff and then misses the rest, most of what's on there is just my itunes library on shuffle or spotify when it actually scrobbles for me - nearly all full album releases I listen to these days are leaks or streams for new albums

DoofusWainwright 04.30.18	LastFM and Spotify, the link betwixt the two I just don't understand - sometimes it'll pick my listening up, sometimes not, and I'll be using the same devices :/ Also I don't scrobble bandcamp stuff and certain other sources (soundcloud, some youtube, some leaks, etc) LastFM gets about 80-90% of what I listen to I guess
