Lucman's Most Anticipated Records of 2018

Quite a few releases I'm excited about this year. Although I doubt this year will be as great as the last for music, I still have my hopes up.
10Civilian
You Wouldn't Believe What Privilege Costs

You Wouldn't Believe.... was one of the best indie rock records of 2015 and I cannot wait to hear where these gentlemen go next.
9Josh Garrels
Home

My ears would give a massive welcome to a new record by Josh Garrels this year. Since Jacaranda, he's been a hugely consistent artist whose music has only gotten better with time and I hope I can say the same for his next project.
8Weezer
Pacific Daydream

I loved Pacific Daydream and I'm pumped to hear this Black record if it comes out this year.
7Twenty One Pilots
Blurryface

Not the biggest TOP fan these days but I can't help but be curious to hear what they release next.
6Oh, Sleeper
Children Of Fire

Almost can't believe we're still waiting for this one. Will we get it this year? Fingers crossed.
5House of Heroes
Colors

One of the most consistent bands of all time in my eyes. Nothing has been announced yet, but if the Heroes do release the follow-up to Colors this year, it's bound to be a rock 'n' roll marvel.
4Chvrches
Every Open Eye

From where I'm sitting either Jepsen or Chvrches will get the pop record of the year unless a surprise masterpiece comes along to knock them both off their pedestals.
3Emery
You Were Never Alone

I still spin You Were Never Alone quite frequently and Emery has done little wrong their entire career. At this point, it's almost without question that their upcoming record will be great.
2Come Wind
Move in Place

Loved Come Wind's 2015 effort but outside of an ok single, they've been pretty quiet, so I'm guessing there's a strong possibility that they'll release something excellent this year.
1Carly Rae Jepsen
Emotion

I only started listening to this record recently but it hooked me from the first note to the last. If Jepsen tops this with her next project I could be looking at a possible AOTY contender.
