Last year, my dad (who got me into music in the first place and tries to keep up with some new stuff but generally doesn't have the time to) asked me to assemble a playlist of great songs from the last year and give it to him as a Christmas gift. He enjoyed that one so much he asked me to do it again for 2017! Frankly, this was a harder one to compile, but it's under his tree now and he'll let me know what he thinks later this week. It's pretty tailored to his tastes both musically and lyrically, but in the meantime I figured it's something to share.
